What people are saying about Whitstable Cricket Club

“What a great place for some fun but also serious cricket. Great for kids from 8 years to adults in their 50 ‘s. There is a bar on site to enjoy a drink whilst watching the game. Or a post game refreshment.
The coaching is brilliant, which is the reason the club has many players in the higher leagues.
It’s heart warming to watch the kids running around playing after matches in the safe and spacious grounds.”

5/5

“Cheap beer. Covid safe. Friendly staff and punters. Perfect for an afternoon out.”

5/5

“Excellent pitch, reasonable club house and bar, but the coaching is superb. Home ground where Joe Denly learnt his trade. They teach all ages and abilities and currently have a number of Kent county players in various teams both girls and boys. Highly recommended if you have an aspiring young cricketer.”

In a flash, our Under 15 indoor season has come to an end.Victory in our final game meant we finished top of the pile of the @kentcricket Pharon league having won all of our fixtures. Here are just 6 of the squad, Lucas, Finlay (WK) Alex, Jimbo (skip), Ralph and Ewan all proudly wearing their @bonecancerresearch shirts. Bryson, Jacob and Rob completed the squad and were just as instrumental in our results as these 6.We were incredibly consistant, regularly knocking over 100 in our 10 overs and have players also topping the pile in the division batting, bowling and fielding stats during the campaign. Aside from obvious ability throughout, there was a great togetherness about them and a real team mentality. No superstars allowed. There will be a little break for Christmas, then we'll see how our Under 13's fare in their campaign. πŸ’šπŸ’›Our headquarters took delivery of a very special item at the weekend, Miles Memorial Bench. Today is Miles Birthday and we miss him dearly. As you can see from a few snapshots, Miles did love a bench, so we hope to do him proud next summer with the bench in the best place possible to view some great cricket. Miles will never leave our hearts and with the introduction of the annual Miles Stockwell Award, his presence will be felt around our club for generations to come .
